I’m New Here

At Bethel we pride ourselves on making sure you feel really at home throughout our Services. We believe that Church should be enjoyed, not endured.

So why not come down and check us out?

We currently have 1 physical service at 10:30am every Sunday.  For up to date details about services, please click here. Scroll down to find out what to expect at one of our Sunday services when visiting for the first time.

Click Here to contact a member of our team and we will get in touch with you. We’d also love to host you at one of our regular Sunday morning Church services.

We have prepared a number of FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) on the page below. Scroll down and read through them, they may answer one of your questions.

We can’t wait to meet you!

What can I expect at Bethel?

We want you to have a great experience at Church. You can sit pretty much anywhere you like, although if you have small children you may prefer to sit near the back so you can enter the crèche if needed. Our service has a clear structure but is relaxed. We sing a few songs, (the words come up on our big screen behind the stage) we take communion (bread and wine) every other week and someone will speak for about 30 minutes - hopefully it will inspire you and be helpful to you. Our morning service lasts for about an hour and a half. For more information, visit our Sundays page to find our more about our services.

How do I get to Church?

We aim to make church accessible to as many as possible so if you have trouble getting to church, let us know and we may be able to help. The address is at the bottom of the page. We have parking spaces to the left of the building, arrive nice and early to get a space or park nearby on the street (please be considerate to our neighbours when parking). We also have wheelchair access from the side entrance if required. Visit our How To Find Us page for more information on how to find our building.

What about my children?

Children and young people are a high priority here at Bethel. We have a dedicated team of DBS checked staff and volunteers who will look after them and help them to get the most out of church. If your children are in primary school, they can join our exciting Bethel Kids team. They stay in for the first 30 minutes or so of our service and then leave the main meeting to receive their own great teaching and have loads of fun together with our brilliant kids’ team.

We have a crèche for younger children where parents are welcome to take their children. The sound from the service is transmitted into the crèche and there is a window into the main church service so that you can still hear and see what is going on. This helps both you and others to enjoy the service without distractions.

What happens after the service ends?

Feel free to stay as long as you would like! We encourage people to stay around for a chat as we believe that building community is an important part of Church. If you have any questions please speak to someone after the service.

Can I come on my own and meet new people?

There are a variety of ways to meet new people at Bethel. Right from the moment you walk in the door, a member of our team will welcome you and introduce you to someone new if you wish. The best way to make new friends is to stay behind at the end to chat to people, or start serving in one of our ministries. There are many opportunities for you to get involved. We also have lots of social events that you may be interested in depending on your interests and age.

Why not come along?
